A Mandatory sign is a sign that will command you to do something for your own health and also for your own safety. It has a blue back round with a picture of something and also with a sentence that is going to tell you what to do or wear. For example, when you are in a workshop, there are some certain things that you have to do to ensure you safety, like wearing a face shield when you are welding to keep your face especially your eyes safe.
What is a Prohibited sign?
A Prohibited sign or a Prohibition sign is a safety sign that doesn't allow any behaviour that will likely cause a risk to your health and to your safety. Prohibition safety sign generally hes a black safety symbol in a red circle with a red diagonal cross through it. For example, when you are in a workshop, you shouldn't run around because if you are careful, you can trip over something that can hurt you really badly. Hazard signs or warning symbols are recognisable symbols designed to warn people about dangerous materials, location, or objects that can harm you or cause harm to you and to others. For example, when you are in the workshop, you might slip on something break a bone.

ReplyDeleteThis is a well explained blogpost about the three types of safety signs we have learnt in Creative Manufacturing. To make it clearer, maybe you could separate the names of the signs and make it bolder, you could also write down the definitions of hazard and one of the explanation. Overall, this blog is really useful for people out there who doesn't know much about hazards and the safety signs.
