Balloons Science


Forensic Science

Definition:

Relating to or denoting the application of scientific methods and techniques to the investigation of crime.

Finger prints

Aim: To look at the different types of fingerprints.

Materials: 

  1.  Balloons  
  2.  Ink Pads
  3.  Fingers 

Steps

  
  
  1.  Roll your finger on the Ink pad  
  2.  Then roll you finger on the Balloon but don't do it really hard  
  3. Then blow up the Balloon  
  4. Look at the balloon and see what type of finger print you have  
  5.

Conclusion:
Me and my partner Khaylanie did well today on our experiment. It was really cool to find out what type of fingerprint we have.

Dusting fingerprints:

Lifting fingerprints

Aim: To learn how to lift hidden fingerprints from an object.

1. Lifting and Gathering fingerprints.

Equipment:
  1.   Plastic
  2.   White powder
  3.   Fine Brush
  4.   
  5.   
  6.  
Method: 
  1.  Get the plastic then put your finger print on it
  2.  Then get the brush then brush the plastic with a little bit of white powder
  3.  After that, put a black paper underneath 
Results:

You can't really see it.

Conclusion Questions:

What could you do to improve your results next time?
The thing that I think I have to improve next time is doing things the right way so that I can get a better result.

Why do you think fingerprints are useful to crime scene investigators?
So that they can Identify the person .
